Anyone else been burned by "Hogleg Smith"?

He has done a little work for me. He did a nice job installing a beavertail and trigger sear in a 1911. I showed a friend who took his to have the same work done and Hogleg botched his. He ended up taking it elsewhere and having it done right.

When it comes to Single action pistols and cowboy action rifles/shotguns, he does great work. On others, not so much.

What parts (who Mfg'd them) are you having put in your 938? I'm thinking the fix might be simple. did the hammer not reset when dryfiring, or with live rounds?

Give him the bill from Sig. If he doesn't play ball, small claims him for the bill instead.
I watch Judge Judy all the time. First you have to give him the opportunity to fix it, and if he refuses then you can sue. Being he gave your money back I think the damages would be minimal. I just hope Sig doesn't replace all your new parts with stock gear!

Carried a 1911 to another "smith" one time for a trigger job, smooth it up and lighten it up.
After about 2 weeks he called and says he can't work on this type trigger because the way it was made.
Picked it up and found out i could adjust the thing myself....................

Nothing more aggravating than bringing a gun to a "Smith" and getting it back in worse condition. Been there.
Know what you mean...took my M&P 45 in today to install the Apex kit, get the gun back with a bolloxed take down lever! Not to this dog leg guy, I would never trust my guns to a guy with the moniker "dog leg" .
