Anyone else get their property tax statement today?

I’ve about given up telling some people that they aren’t paying taxes if they get a refund for more than they paid.
“Earned” Income Credit, BAH!!

I did bankruptcies for 45 years.

"Earned income credit" was the most common fraudulent claim on bankruptcy petitions. There are all sorts of "tax forms preparers" who dummy up the returns and file them.

Our local trustee was diligent about reporting the cheaters to the IRS.

As far as I can tell, in all those years, with the info in black and white right in front of their faces, the IRS did Butkus, zero, nada.
