A cheap rain coat from Wal-Mart would fit great in your kit, small but will keep you dry.

How do you carry the bag? Is it on you and if so, on your belt? Or just something close by like in your vehicle?

I keep it in my vehicle, next to me in case I have to grab and go. When I'm in my kayak, I put it in the dry box.

I agree, my wife's truck box has everything she needs for 3 days, so after the big storm that dropped less than 3 inches of snow and people were stranded food days in there cars for days she said she needs a survival box.

they have them a walmart for about 15 bucks. they will also attach to a camelbak hose. filters 100,000 gallons of water..
