I just did. Damn. Gets your heart going. One second you are jamming out loading some .308 and then BAM!!! bright flash and bang. Dog was not pleased either.

Not yet but I've bent plenty and wondered why they didn't go off. What made them go bang?
Yeah I wasn't wearing my eye pro....I am now. Yeah I've just got the basic Lee single stage loader. I am a relatively new reloader, but I've churned out at least 3k rounds and this is a first. Not even sure why it went off as I have put a lot more pressure on other primers while seating and no problems, this one I must have hit just right.
what brand of primer, I have heard fed. and remington doing this, I use cci and have never had a single one out of about 20000, but am always thinking one of them will go off and scare the **** out of me
It was actually CCI. #250 LRM.
Lee Single Stage Press? Many years ago I set a couple primers off using the Press to seat primers. Since I got a RCBS hand primer, I have NEVER in 35+ years set another one off.

You may need to change your seating method.... Don't use this.
