Anyone ever heard of this guy?

I read about him several years ago. Very interesting guy; just wanted to kill Commies and felt betrayed by his country when they surrendered in 1944.

That was a good read. Wonder how many more we never hear about.

There were many guys that served in some capacity with the Reich that ended up elsewhere in the world, serving Western (mostly US) interests against the Soviet Union and Communism.

Born in the US, moved to Germany as a baby when his father got a job (his family were from Germany). Conscripted into the German Army, sent to a prison camp in Alabama, released, ended up coming back to the US with his citizenship, served in Korean War: http://www.npr.org/2010/11/09/131186773/veteran-served-as-soldier-for-hitler-and-u-s-army

Another guy who was drafted then came to the US and ended up in Korea as well: http://www.montereyherald.com/article/NF/20141108/NEWS/141109862
