Anyone ever spear hunt?

I know it’s illegal in GA but....? Watched some YouTube vids and looks pretty awesome. I have a SOG Spirit but just throw it messing around. I’d like to try it hunting though.

Does frog gigging count? I don't think I'd try for a deer with that spear, but I don't think there is much harm in trying for a squirrel or rabbit.

I follow a guy on Facebook that makes it look easy. From pigs to water Buffalo in Africa. He does it all. Schlockmaster is his name I believe.

Have never had a desire to try it. Is an interesting concept though
