Anyone familiar with compact 4x4 tractors?

I have Kubota L4200 with loader and GST. I've owned it for 15 years. Bought it used and it will sell for almost what I paid for it . Great tractor.

My only advice is that this is probably the smallest tractor I would consider for the uses you described....in the 35 to 45 hp range.

I bought a Farmtrac 270. its a 27 hp 4wd made by LG 12 years ago. It has ran great and been a great little tractor. The only issue maybe finding parts in the future. I wish I had gotten the front end loader attachment when I bought it. If I were to buy a new one I would look at the Kubota or the Mahindras.

Not an item you want to save a buck on upfront, it will bite you in the ass later.

I have an L3130 and I agree, you do NOT want to get "too small". Sounds like the OP wants a B series and if he's real lucky he 'might' score one for his top end $8k with loader but he better be quick... especially with spring time fast approaching.

Look at local auctions. I found a nice little jd 850 I use for food plots at a farm equip auction for 1500. Needed a new battery and fuel lines, but meh... Also check the market bulletin.

Market Bulletin. I think that you can surf it online now. There are tractors on there, and plenty of equipment.
