Will be in the market for a used semi compact 4x4 tractor.
Bigger than a lawn tractor and with a good hydraulic bucket/ PTO.
I've looked at some online and the kubota, mahindras, deeres all seem way out of my price range.
The 4x4 mitsubishis looked like a pretty nice performer, super quiet with fast hydraulics and good power.
My main use would be small food plots , clearing humps in paths, and landscape duty.
I think my budget high end would be $8-k but would love to find something in $4-k range.

Any advice or leads would help.
We had farmall-C's, cubs and a big Deere and an old Oliver back on the farm in Pa but I lost touch with the tractor scene for quite a while.

just got a kubota b1730 started for a buddy. sat for 5 years. massaged it a bit and wham. ran great. how many acres you tending?
i typically find my equipment local. my Long 70hp saves my ass weekly. I'll keep an eye for you. 8

Main use will be maintaining a hunting property or two.
Food plots will be very small, maybe an acre here and there but won't be using it much.

I can tinker and fix about anything so a fixer upper may not be out of the question but prefer something mechanically sound instead of a basket case.
Don't have to be pretty, just functional.

You might find a good used Kubota in that range. I picked up a 1992 B2150D with no equipment, but with only about 500 hours on it about 3 years ago for 3K and it hardly uses any fuel - deisel. Trying to ad photo. I got it to run around son some mtn property that I can' walk too much on. I have a '64Ford 4000 that I am going to put up for sale as soon as I finish tuning it. Just installed new muffler and starter solenoid and rebuilt carb and now too cold to tune it. May need to install new fuel cut off valve.

If you're looking for a compact tractor with a loader for $4k I'll wish you luck. Even the grey market tractors tend to run a bit higher than that used.

I have a Deutsch Allis compact I've been knocking around selling. If you're serious shoot me a PM and we can talk. Even if you aren't interested in mine I'd be happy to share what I know.

I have been looking for a deal on a compact tractor with loader for about 6 months. The used prices are crazy. I am going to buy a new one. Stopped by the John Deere dealership in Barnesville the other day. Got a great quote on a 3032e with loader, box blade and tiller. About 20k without taxes. Going to pull the trigger in the next week.

Its funny this thread has just now popped up. I am in the same boat. Looking for a compact tractor with a front loader at least to do some maintenance and to help since I have injured my back. Any info where a good cheap used one would be is appreciated!

Does that also include the trailer? I've been thinking about either this or the 3038e, I just cant justify the prices for the used ones.
