Anyone have any experience with this PSA .22 upper?

Like the title says. Any input on this? Pros? Cons? Or just spend a little more and get another MP 15-22?

Not the right answer but....I was wondering about your question and did a bit of googling out of curiosity. Ran into this, seems Smith is having a bit of trouble with this one. Lots of comments out there about this event and they still ban it at the event. Seems Smith hasn't got back in touch and told them it is safe.

That issue seemed to pop up a few years ago. I believe it is related to extremely dirty rifles (I may be wrong). The 15-22 I have has ran thousands of rounds without an issue. BUT I do clean it. I am really thinking about buying another 15-22 but I keep coming back to the PSA for the current sale price.

Spent a small fortune building a SW 15/22 to mirror my centerfire AR for Appleseed.... which I finished the week they announced the program wide ban.

Bought a Ruger SR22 Rifle to take its place but this upper has my interest too!

I think I am going to order one.

Give it a shot. The trick to reliable 22 upper function seems to be a piece of dowel or a Taccom pressure plug to keep the bolt assembly forward.

I have a cmmg version and love it. Easy to drop in when you want to shoot quiet rounds. Same trigger is nice

Are mags hard to find and/or bloody expensive?
