Anyone have or use a Squirell Daddy M1 Muzzel Erosion Gauge?

I have a question. How do I read this? Groove between blunt end and 00/05 = ME .5?

Groove between 05 and 10 = MR 1? Groove between 10 and 15 = ME 1.5, etc, etc, etc ?

If you know for sure, please educate me.

Gage reads .30 on the handle and segments indicate last two
digits, for example .30 + 15 = .3015 diameter.

I understand that, but what is the bench mark? The groove above or below the markings? Let's start at the blunt end.

Blunt to first groove (00 segment) = what?

blunt end to 2nd groove (05 segment) = what?
