Anyone know anything about casting bullets from lead sheeting?

I am in the middle of a renovation project and I have come across a lead lined room. I estimate the quantity is about 2800 pounds. Anyone have any experience with casting bullets from a material like this? Am I better off scrapping the lead for cash?

Most likely straight lead.. can be combined with tin and antimony fairly easily..antimony is the most difficult to mix in. Used to use plently of shower floor liner for bullets.. you may have a gold mine.

Pure, clean lead ought to bring at least $1.00/lb or more depending on your area. I've sold loads at $2.00 /lb. in ingots.

Mix it with tin or solder and you will have bullets for the rest of your life. In pure form it does great for Black Powder, buckshot and slugs.

Nearly pure, no alloys.

Bullet casters, jig makers covet it because it fills a mold so well, Bullet casters especially because they have a good baseline to harden it.

Minimum of $1 US per lb,
