Anyone know what this is ?

Got this awhile back in a lot of stuff from an online auction . Auction had it listed as bayonets . One has Sargent on it and the other looks to say C F Jennings NY on it . Came with sheath they both fit neatly in . Any ideas of what they are or value ? Thanks for looking .

What I could find on the internet was that both companies made drills at one time, so they may be some sort of drill, but I'm guessing.

My guess is old drills that you rotate back and forth between the palms of your hands.

They have holes in the belled ends like they were intended to fit on a shaft or something via a pin or quick release

It is possible but I have never seen a marlinspike that was flat on one side like these and with such a steep point. They are more usually round from one end to the other with a much more gradual taper.
