I pulled a metal pen from a sidewall. Below is what I picked up from my subdivision entry last week. Have another pile like this about every couple of weeks. No idea what the frag is from.

I used to work in residential new construction and I've seen my fair share. Needle nose pliers to wire coat hangers. Roofing nails get ya the worst though.

Ran over the top part of a pair of nail clippers right before I turned in my driveway one time.

Wife caught the blade of a knife, no handle. Car didn't come with a spare, so I bought a plug kit so we could drive the car to Discount...who of course wouldn't touch the tire since I messed with it.

Caught a huge bolt in the center of my left rear tire in my Mustang. The tires came from the factory with 5/32 tread depth. Aired it up and drove it to Discount...who wouldn't patch it since I was down to 3/32 at that time and only had 3600 miles on the tires.

Saw a tire tech go into the office to see the manager and tell him what the cause of the flat on the backhoe tire he was working on. A 9mm (not a socket).

This was in the South Bronx.
