I need help badly from the ODT family.

Does anyone have any experience representing yourself? My lawyer just quit and I seem to be lacking $5000. to hire another one.

Not that a lawyer helps at all. I believe the last one lied....I just learned he did not convey my wife's offer before the TH. Unbelievable.

If kids are involved you have to have a lawyer. There is no other option. Do whatever you can to come up with at least $1000 to give an attorney to start... Deliver pizzas, sell stuff, beg your friends to let you work on the weekends for them. Lots of ways to make a grand.

If no kids, and you are broke with no assets. What's the worst that can happen? Just walk away and never look back. The judge will grant the divorce eventually anyway.

If you have a house, cars, or any other valuables you will need an attorney. Or just plan to give it all to her. Might be cheaper in the long run. Houses are expensive to keep up and bills that come with them suck too.
