Anyone shooting 6.5 Grendel?

With things turning out the way they have this past week, I am considering building a 6.5 Grendel upper just for the fun of it. Seems to have pretty impressive ballistics and there is still cheap ammo available as well as some mid sized game rounds.
Anyone shooting/building them that might have some insight/advice?

Thinking the same thing. There are a couple facebook groups for this caliber and seem like pretty cool guys on it.

The wolf 100gr loads are only $4.75 a box at aimsurplus! Hard not to want an upper than can eat that!

I've been thinking about the 6.5 for a while. When I saw the AIM Surplus ad for steel case rounds (didn't realize 6.5 was available in steel case) I started shopping for a 6.5 upper..

If I were to build one with Aero upper and lower , Velocity 3 lb trigger, Blackhole Weaponry barrel and bolt,Apoc Armory NBCG, and Magpul FDE furniture. This is what it would look like and of course I can't tell you it shoots awesome because I obviously have no guns except for a jeminez

The 300 is a short range round whereas the 6.5 is intended to perform adequately up close but shine at longer ranges. It has less energy inside 600yds than .308 but meets then exceeds .308 at about that distance with nearly the same amount of drop at 1,000 yds
