Anyone shot or owned an sr9 or sr9c?

FWIW, I had a SR9c and I hated it. For one it had to go back to Ruger for a bad peening issue on the barrel. The sights would never stay tight either. I traded it and have never been happier
Shot a few SR9's. Hate them. Trigger is like a glock but worse, no matter how much lube/oil we put on the barrel/rails, it was still coarse, the take down is over complicated, and for the money you can just buy an M&P. /biased opinion
I own an SR9c and love it. Despite what some of the others are saying about this gun, the trigger feels great to me and I am more accurate with it than either of my Glocks. The safety is in a convenient location and the "loaded when up" feature is actually kinda nice. Thought it was a little much at first but come to like it. The compact size makes it easy to conceal carry in an IWB and having a 10 round mag plus a 17 round mag is very convenient when going to the range.
We see several come through our training classes. The owners seem pretty happy with them for the most part.
They also seem to function reliably once they are broken in like most firearms.
But as mentioned by other forum members there have been some exhibiting some accelerated barrel peening issues.
Ruger will get it squared away at some point I'm sure plus they stand by their products.
Students buy it alot based on low price-point.
GT's in Rossville has them for $369.99 plus tax.
They also seem to function reliably once they are broken in like most firearms.

I own an SR9. It's narrow, my wife can grip it comfortably and she shoots it well. price was a factor.
I was kind of concerned with it, because I seemed to get a problem feeding once in a while when I pushed it very hard. I believe it might be a matter of break-in because yesterday I ran 150 rounds through it at all speeds without any problems (total rounds on it <1000). It is light and shoots tight groups, though my eyesight isn't what it used to be and the tiny rear dots are extremely difficult to see, so it seems to shoot a bit higher than I'm used to shooting.
I don't think its complicated to take apart. You do have to push the ejector down before removing the slide, but everything else seems pretty standard, but that's what I'm used to doing, maybe not for everyone. It has a mag safety and the manual says strongly not to dry fire without an empty mag. Failure to heed that = trigger problems. I noticed a bit of a sharp edge on the barrel the last time I cleaned it. Peening? I don't know. When I clean it again and if that is worse, I'll add a comment here. I'll probably get some sights that I can see.

I carry an SR9c every day and have over 1000 trouble-free rounds through it. I love it. Accurate, good trigger, comfortable to shoot a lot, and a breeze to conceal IWB. Plus it was $100 cheaper than the M&P or Glock.
Have owned and carried my sr9 for about a year now. Trigger was not very nice at first but for under 25 bucks ghost makes a trigger bar reset that makes the trigger one of the nicest I have shot. I have put well over 1000 rounds through mine with very minimal barrel peening. Zero feeding or ejection problems. This gun has NEVER jammed after the first 100 rounds. I love the narrow grip frame to death and it is extremely comfortable to shoot. Only con I can really think of is the sights to like to adjust themselves after about 200 rounds so I bore laser sight it after every range trip. Someone mentioned over complicated takedown but I could not disagree more. This pistol is very easy to takedown and clean. I trust it with my life everyday and would highly reccomend you pick yourself one up. Plus with rugers customer service I know that any problem that were to arise would be fixed for free with no questions asked.
