anyone use recoil bushings on their 1911?

I got some for my 1911, anyone else use them ? I have 2 I will give to two people if you want to try them.

Rubber/plastic material. I use them and have for ever. I recommend them to anyone, especially if you use plus p ammo.

I've seen them but never understood what they're supposed to do other than potentially jam up a perfectly fine 1911.

I always called them "shok-buffs" . For range use, not carry.
