**APPENDIX CARRY??

I seem to draw the fastest from appendix carry. I use a Desantis Softuk and really like it. I think it is suede...One clip. I have two of them, actually. Very comfortable if there is a such thing as comfortable IWB carry.

I have never tried a Kydex IWB.

I also carry around 1 o' clock. Maybe a quarter past 1...I'm not hovering directly above my cash and prizes. I like it just inside my hip.

I'm 5'8", 160 lbs, with an athletic build. I appendix carry my G19 in a G-Code Incog holster with mag caddy attached, but I only use one clip (I use the one on the holster, not the one on the mag caddy). I find that, *for me*, one clip allows me to position the holster so that it is most comfortable and conceals the best. I don't have a lot of real estate around my waist, and if I use both clips, I find that my belt loops get in the way of optimal positioning of the holster on most of my pants. This makes it less comfortable and also leads to the grip printing if I can't get the holster positioned exactly right.

In my experience, using one clip does not lead to the position of the gun changing in any way that would affect the drawstroke.

I carried "traditional" IWB at the 3:00-4:00 position for nearly 20 years, and I switched to appendix carry about a year ago. I find appendix carry to be the most comfortable method of carry *for me*, especially when seated.

Anyway, that's my $0.02.

I prefer 2 clips more because of stability when running my code g with mag caddy, 1 clip if it's just the pistol, finding the right belt is almost as important as the the holster

Yeah, i would lean towards two clips for stability. I also want the holster to hold gun and mag so as not to have to carry more than one holster on me. I am no stranger to gear iwb as this is my current set up (see pic below) but i like the idea of steamlining gun and mag together in one rig aiwb.

Appendix carry is great as long as you:

1. Don't have a gut (tends to push the pistol out from the body causing printing) and I imagine its uncomfortable as hell.
2. Not sitting at a desk or other position where you tend to slouch forward for long periods of time. This causes the pistol to dig into you either via the sights or it'll push to muzzle end into your groin area due to the tilting effect of your abdomen applying pressure to the top of the slide.

Outside of that it's the best carry method IMO. Fast, out in front already, easily drawn in most situations and easiest to secure if needed.

I use a single clip holster from Q-Series for my G43. It's a small holster and never moves. Probably wouldn't be a great option for a larger pistol though.

I started appendix carry recently. Few things i have learned. It is fast for draw. Even with my mid sized to small gut i can still conceal a glock 19, use a raven concealment eilodon. It is comfotable once you get used to it. It is slowly growing on me, but it does conceal the weapon well and is more secure as mentioned.

I think if i can shed the gut it will be even better.

We make a version of this called the SOLO and most people are carrying it appendix. Less bulk.

It's definitely a good design from a minimalist standpoint. Re-holstering isn't too bad either although not as easy as a full cover conventional kydex holster and definitely requires more attention to ensure no ADs.

I use mine for 4 o'clock carry also. Works just as good as long as you use a good belt that's reasonably snug.

I use appendix carry a lot off duty (especially in the summer) but I don't use it on duty.

On duty I carry 2 spare mags and a set of handcuffs, and I spend the majority of the work day sitting on an airplane. Recently did a 17hr flight......for me appendix carry ain't something I wanna do for that length of time while seated.
