what's everyone's favorite AR recipe with Varget for the AR?

25 gr Varget , 70 gr Berger vld shoots 1 small hole at 100 yards with my heavy barrel AR

Gave up on the market sensitivity of Varget, went with Shooters World Match Rifle. They have since come out with their newest US release Precision Rifle (S-062) is almost identical to Varget.

Everyone using those CCI primers for the AR? (Thicker ones to prevent slam fires.)

CCI are my go to primer but I've used Winchester without any problems. So I honestly don't care

26.0 Varget, 62 HPBT, Federal Small Rifle Primer 2950fps from a 16inch carbine on a 75 degree day. Colt 5.56 chamber.

Varget is still my main powder for 55-62gr FMJ loads. Don't remember off the top of my head but right around 25gr seems about right.

I"ve moved to Ramshot TAC for most of my 77gr loads, nice that they actually give you both 223 and 5.56 mil spec loading data, so I moved to that a while ago for my hotter/heavier loads.

I've used a variety of primers in my 556 and not had any issues with any of them. typically I use CCI or winchester, or Tula/Wolf.

I like 27 grains under any 52-55gr match pill. I use cci450s or 41s

I have had a slam fire -2 shot burst- with my AR, a dirty firing pin, and standard primer. The NATO or Magnum primers probably would have prevented it from occurring.
