AR 15 Varget

I have had a slam fire -2 shot burst- with my AR, a dirty firing pin, and standard primer. The NATO or Magnum primers probably would have prevented it from occurring.

I'm planning on using those CCI #41 primers.

The thinness of most primers makes me a little uncomfortable on an AR. Y'all have seen those dimples from a chambering, I'm sure. The firing pin has a good bit of inertia, even if nothing is wrong.

Anyone got any good metering powders for this load?

Varget is good, but I'm having to trickle each charge since my hopper won't meter it well.

A few years back I bought a few extra CCI 34 and 41 primers for 556 and 762. Back then the MIL primers were only 2 or 3dollars per thousand more. Now they are 7 dollars more per thousand. I will buy magnum primers in the future.
