AR not chambering next round

Ok. We need different things out of an AR. I’ve had no reliability problems. Just talking about it seem’s elementary to me, it’s not that complicated. My little girl can build a reliable AR. I’ve helped design and build much more sophisticated machines in my life(I tried my best not to go there but). There are Folks that have similar experience as you with the AR platform and believe the captured spring to be just as reliable and adjustable. I never had the option of working on one type pump, gearbox, centrifuge, hydraulic system, electronic control system… & on & on. If you’re happy with your guns, I’m glad. I don’t use “trash”. If it don’t work it goes in the trash. Have a good evening.
Mine works great

The USMC tested all the aftermarket buffer systems available at the time, in an effort to increase the reliability of the M4A1 carbine.

Some of the systems tested were the standard USGI carbine buffer system, the Vltor A5 buffer system, the Geissele Super 42, and the JP SCS.

The JP SCS placed dead last, even after the standard carbine buffer system.

The Vltor A5 buffer system won, hands down. Not only was it more reliable than any other carbine buffer system, it made the M4A1 carbine more reliable than the M16A4 rifle.

As a side effect of how the Vltor A5 buffer system works, it also makes the AR run smoother. Again, a side effect and not the goal.

You want to make your AR more reliable AND smoother, run the Vltor A5 buffer system.
