You're right I just skimmed over it just happened to see adjustable and figured it was a gas block.

Only non-piston BCG I had. That will be where I go next if the buffer doesn't fix the issue. I appreciate the buffer offer but saw Cabelas had them for like 13 bucks so I'm just gonna snag one and sneak out after work one day this week to do a little more testing.

Do you have another AR-15 or have a friend real close that has one? You could swap that BCG out for a standard no frills job for a couple shots to see if it cures your ails. I'd be willing to bet that it's that bolt carrier group or a oversized gas block. Hopefully you get lucky and it's just the buffer. Anyways good luck and I hope you get this figured out. There's nothing more frustrating to have a gun that you spent a fortune on and it doesn't function correctly. 🤬🤬😰
