AR Wobble!!

NP...got my help finding the same thing not too long ago here. I had to order one for "The Big Chicken" top of the pic. "Chicken Little" and "Spring Chicken" didn't need them...just that old A1 upper. haha the only rifles I've ever named are my ODT Chicken ARs.

Could be an older Colt upper that had the bastard size pin holes. No way to fix it right except buy the correct upper. That is an A2 upper anyway. You need an A1 upper for the "Vietnam look".

I made it as early Vietnam period correct as I could get it...sans the colt lower and I think the charging handle should be triangular too maybe. I went through several old A1 grips and non storage-buttstocks looking for decent ones and just happened on someone here selling 3 prong flash hiders.

You could always get creative with some JB Weld or some other type of epoxy to fill in that gap. Just don't glue your top and bottom halves together!

Oh goodness that be horrible, I ordered some parts that Rdkill suggested and going to see how that goes.

When I was doing mine, I actually thought about just cutting a small piece of aluminum tubing and making my own...but for 3 bucks plus shipping...figured I'd just do it right. Glad I did. The offset hole lets you spin around to desired tightness.

you'll be fine, several ar's that I own have horrendous play but they shoot just fine.
