AR15 Car Storage

Stoddards in mid town sells a thin safe that you could bolt down to the trunk, or under a back seat in a truck. They have the biometric and key models there. You will only get 1-2 long guns in there though maybe a tactical shotgun and Ar or ak.

Depending upon what sort of truck, there are locking underseat storage compartments that bolt under the back seat.

An easy method is a sturdy chain through the action (up the magwell and out the ejection port) and around one or more of the rear seat mounts. Can't keep a mag in the weapon this way, but it is cheap and efficient. I wouldn't recommend keeping a hacksaw or bolt cutters in the cab of your truck. Yes, a thief may have either or both of those tools, but I arrested plenty of folks for entering an auto and never had one carrying either. Usually just the bare minimum tools they needed to gain entry; piece or pieces of insulator from a spark plug, usually, or a tennis ball, because that worked at the time.

If you don't like using the seat mount, you can run a sturdy eye bolt through the floorboard.

Center-Lok overhead rack. They have them for a single rifle as well.

Several companies offer them. Google foo is your friend.
