That is dependent on if you're right or left handed, the cut in the plate offers a little more room when shouldering a weapon.

Is it bad? I've never worn it. Ceramic plates are all I've had. Not shot any of it.

Steel plates will have a warranty of 20 years or longer as long as no rust has degraded the plate oppose to ceramic which has a 5 year warranty.

The steel weighs more, is thinner, and costs less.

Ceramic is lighter, thicker, and costs more.

With the price of cheap ceramics these days it makes sense to spend the very few extra bucks

Yeah it’s pretty terrible. Saving $100 on cheaper/heavier armor cost me almost $5,000 in hospital visits and a year of PT
