Correct me if I'm wrong but the brace rule is still in effect. It was never nullified or removed from the Federal register. It was simply prevented from being enforced.

The bump stock rule was overturned, but since they aren't making any new ones (that I know of) admitting you had one also means admitting that you owned an unregistered machine gun during the time they were illegal. Probably not something anyone would care about now, but just saying...

Doesn't matter if it was 'installed' on anything. In and of itself it was considered a 'machine gun' by law during that period.

Not saying anyone would even get looked at for this, but that doesn't make it not the case.
