Does anyone know of knife/hatchet/axe throwing places that offers prize money competition for throwing?

No but if ya just want practice there's a county line bar on the SC/NC border I recall that gets pretty rowdy every fri/sat night.

I ain't much good with knives, that's my kids department. He uses just cheap throwing knives, get a dozen for under $40 but he's been practicing with a big bowie but he's not there yet with that

I've fooled around with knife throwing sets for years --generally cheap ones, not spending more than $40 for a set of three.

But the best throwing knives I've ever used are actually Glock field knives (FM 81, although FM 78 would be preferable if I could find a good source for those at the same price as the more modern saw-back design).

I've got two of those. I probably shouldn't throw them both at the same target anymore, because they often hit each other; the second one smashes into the back of the first one to often!
