Sounds like she is one of those parents that lets her kids run or crawl around the restaurant while she sits obliviously at the table texting or sharing on FB what she had for lunch. It's her responsiblity to secure her weapon and if she failed to do so then she should pay the price. Just because she's a mom that carry's (which I support 100%) doesn't relive her of her responsibilities. Hope the child recovers with no long term injuries.
"The child was able to remove the firearm from the purse and manipulate the trigger while the firearm was still attached to the holster, firing a single round, according to Washington."
I am curious the gun and holster she had it in? Manipulated trigger while gun still attached to holster?
They did determine that the sister's injury was from a screw on the holster, not from a fired round. I guess the holster was touching the girl when the pistol was fired?
