I've always been a huge Corvette fan but I'm really disappointed with this. I stopped paying attention as soon as they announced that it would not be available with a manual transmission. They found the only way to kill the excitement over finally having a mid-engined Corvette

Give me a Vette with the engine in the front. I know it will sacrifice some all out track performance, but for everyday driving I'd never miss it. Plus a Corvette isn't mid-engined too me!

I think if you drove one or even a new Shelby 500 with the auto trans you might rethink that issue rather quickly,removing parts to lighten the overall powertrain to increase traction and performance.I could easily have more fun with a paddle shifted auto trans than a 6 speed clutch and pass by those cars with them quite easily

You should see my kid paddle shift his Mustang. I don’t know how to do it but he sure doe. For me give me a four speed.
