ARs are cheap now?

It seems the prevailing wisdom these days is the AR market is saturated (agreed), and that ARs are cheap now (somewhat disagree). While I agree that you can get some $400-ish ARs now, most of the mid to upper-tier ARs are still the same price. Colt 6920s are still around $700 for the OEM models and Daniel Defense prices are still the same.

I guess my point is it's only the lower end models that seem to be cheap. In no way am I saying that the lower end models are bad, it's just that the idea that ARs are cheap only seems to apply to the lower-end models.

I'm not picking up 6920s for $400 and DDs for $800, so where are the "cheap ones"?

A $1200+ Colt 6920 is a panic price. A 6920 is about an $850 gun for a non-OEM model.

I think its all relative.... When there is another negative impact which AR's will have the run up again...? Entry level...

Everybody entered the AR market when they were selling like hotcakes: S&W, Ruger etc. Supply has now outstripped demand.

I've noticed this as well. The more desirable brands (bcm,DD,noveske,etc) have not fluctuated much in price. Definitely not panic prices but hardly barebones pricing.

Still a great market to enter in on or expand an ar15 collection

I agree. Mid and upper tier brands dipped a little, but definitely not fire sale prices.
