he didnt take advantage of the situation, and didnt get taken advantage of. I think he took the moral high ground here. he got replacement value for it.

He took more than it was worth.....what's the difference in taking a 2,000 dollar AR and 200 dollars more than e pistols worth? Morality is a sliding scale?

Given he's in Woodstock, guess we have to avoid....

Now, this is why it would be better to just post the name of the store. Because now, we assume one of the above broke federal law in this transaction. I would have (and still recommend you do) contact the BATFE. This sounds like a real dirty FFL to me.

Am I the only one who reads this thread and it just doesn't sit well? I'm really surprised at the responses here. If an FFL told me that they hadn't filled out the proper paperwork before selling me a gun, and that they wanted it back...I'd be driving straight to the BATFE office in Atlanta, with all my paperwork and gun in hand. Imagine going into an FFL and saying you didn't want to fill out the 4473. Most likely you'd be kicked out of the store...

Oh, I missed one... Cherokee Trading.

Mass PM the name!

Cherokee is the only pawn shop... Can't be them, can it?

It would be great if a mod could come in here and clarify that this is obviously not a libel / slander situation. The whole point of the internet (Yelp, Amazon, and other sites with reviews) is so that all of us are better informed customers...

I think you did the wright thing. I would not have kept the gun, if I had to shoot someone that had made me fear for my life or the life of a family member, I want to know for sure the guns I have are legal. I don't know that I would have taking it to the court house or police and gotten them involved, we have enough laws and legislation coming down on us now as it is. And I was just wondering where do you normally shop for your firearms in your area?

Please, public service announcement would be nice. Let us know the name. There is nothing to fear...that is, if this is all true...
