What is sad is that at least one member of the guy's family will likely sue the city as well as the civil servants on the truck saying that he was a goot boy and the wreck, not accident, was their fault. The city will likely settle with the family for an undisclosed amount. THAT MAKES ME SICK. The city should take any funds available and repair the truck. The city, likely being self insured, will be stuck with the repair Bill's for the truck too.
The "family" of the ATV rider should be required to pay for the truck repairs. Period.
You forgot to say he also had mental problems (seems when they do something stupid and get killed family members always claim mental problems)
witnesses said he pulled out from behind a parked car into the path of the firetruck. Also that he was helmetless, sitting dead on the atv at the scene, probably close to headless also. Picture of the truck looks like he smacked the headlight.
