Queens, NY and Arlington, VA chosen with a bone tossed to Nashville, TN....

New York is offering Amazon $1.525 billion in incentives, and Virginia $573 million, pegged to the company's proposal to create 25,000 jobs at each location. Tennessee is offering up to $102 million for 5,000 jobs. As part of these agreements, the positions in all three cities will need to have an average wage of $150,000, Amazon said.

Ha! Long Island City, NY. They can keep it. Potential out of state employees looking to move to work there are going to get a seriously rude awakening!! They have no idea what a shiite hole that place is and how expensive it is to live in a remotely close area.

The story goes it absolutely was, to an extent. Amazon was not impressed - to say the least - with Cagle's stunt with Delta Airlines. Amazon doesn't care about the NRA one way or the other, but what they saw in that instance was that things like corporate tax arrangements could become subject to the whim of politics in fights they weren't even interested in.
