Atlanta traffic

I can honestly say Atlanta traffic is as bad as LA traffic. The drivers are also far worse. The closer to the center of the city, the worse the drivers. It's as if they are trying to kill you.

I took my leisurely little drive from Rome to Cartersville this morning, then back to Rome this afternoon. Maybe 50 minutes total on 40 miles, all back roads, green pastures, ducks on still water ponds, the smell of freshly cut grass, hardly a car in sight, and made bank. Life is good in the sticks.

I confess though that I sometimes have to get into the cluster**** you city dwellers call Atlanta traffic. That's when my inner Zen turns into Mephistopheles on meth.

For now my daily commute to and from work is less than 7 miles and I am spoiled. I will be selling my house and moving the hell out of Gwinnett moving north. Hopefully my drive will not be hideous.

I love my 3.2 mile 8 minute max drive to work in Macon during the week. My trip back home to South Forsyth for the weekend has taken up to 4 hours to go 107 miles. Unreal. Trip to Macon on Sunday evening takes only 1 hour and 45 minutes!
