ATP 205 rear seal sealer. Going to try this before spending $650.

It's an 2004 Yukon XL SLT 2 wheel drive with not even 150000 miles on it and paid for. I tried Blue Devil already but it didn't work. I'll try this stuff and see if it works.

Keep us updated.

The ones that held for me ,ive found that stomping on motor and building high oil pressure just blows it out again.Good Luck

The rear main seal housing gasket is the problem

Gm sells the housing and it comes with rear main seal
Its the only way to buy it

Thanks. Either requires pulling the tranny and costs around $600 to $700 for the work.

Just dont want you spending 600 to install rear main and still leaks

Seen this all the time customer comes in pays for rear main
And still leaks

Cover is issue

Understand and thanks for the heads up. I can see less than honest mechanics charging people for the rear seal all along knowing the housing comes with it installed. Karma!

no no

You can get just the rear seal alone
People miss diagnosed the problem
When you order housing it comes with a seal

So most will say rear main seal and order just seal and still have a leak
