Good afternoon. I'm enclosing a pic of the barrel of a very nice Garand and looking for any insight related to the markings. The barrel appears to be dated 03-1963 and may have "import marks", but not sure how to research to determine meaning. This one looks to have be reworked and is in excellent condition.

Thank you!

From that sneak peak it looks like a damn nice rifle. Standard 1963 Springfield barrel with acceptance boxed eagle. Any import stamps anywhere? Blue Sky under the barrel? Most importantly how much are you asking? :fish2:

Not a guru but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
63 Springfield Armory barrel , replacement barrel , hard to tell anything further stoc may be new Boyd's or maybe nice USGI
last M1 Garands built 56-57

What other pictures do you have of op rod, receiver, bold , sights, stock cartouches, trigger group?

Stick a 30.06 in the end of the barrel and take a picture. That gives a great insight into the wear that the rifle has seen. A lot of Garands have been rebuilt by CMP and it looks like you have a nice rebuilt rifle.
