I'm not sure the SC will hear this... mainly because that whole 'state law trumps federal law' argument has never gotten any traction, and probably never will.

A SCOTUS repeal of the NFA would be incredible, but it would have to center around the NFA tax aspects. I guess we'll see if they pick it up next session.

That's #1 to their argument.

Poll taxes have a precedent if for none other than being prohibitive in action or intent.

So far any cases that have serious implication-striking down restrictions based on good merit compromised Judge Roberts has refuse the cases despite protest of two SCOTUS judges.
