Aug 15th= squirrels....anyone ready?

I dont know where they come from every year, but I last year i got 73 and the year before 68
they must love my area, of course having mostly Oak & Hickory trees helps
gonna try and break last years record
my best advice is get a Mr. Squirrel Whistle, and throw all those other noise makers away
look back and read some of my tips in the 'Squirrels Galore' Thread from last year, and try some new tactics
my 2 favorites, Marlin 15yn youth .22 & Remington 870 youth 20ga
even though Im 6'-1" I like the youth models

Small game is for shooting hogs with .22mags. Squirrels have wolves until it cools off.
not in my area, never seen wolves here
but have seen them further South around Ft. Benning

Lol, yeah, that “squirrel” was so fat she couldn’t even climb a tree to get away. I almost felt bad for shooting her..............almost.

but with this heat I'll pass for now
then i have to consider, should I be Squirrels hunting in the same area I Bow Hunt

my past experience during August is they just bred or are breeding and mamma is carrying babies, and they will be nice and tender in 5 months
