OK guys this old man needs help. One of my automatic garage door opener is screwed up. If I’m on the inside and I get the button that’s on the wall it will go up if I wanna put it down I have to hold the button until it is closed. I can’t just hit the button and step outside and let it go shut the way it should. The remote button if I’m outside and I hit up the door will open but then when I hit it to close it, the door wants to go closed, but then stop and then open back up will not close.. He’s reprogrammed it and no help. So I need some ideas, please. Oh, it’s a craftsman opener if that means anything they all work the same.. thank you for the help.,

There are 2, 2 wire photo eyes clamped to your door track somewhere around 6 in off the floor. The beams are either not lined up or the sun is preventing them from receiving the signal from one another. If they don't line up line them up if it's the sun. Cut the wires and swap them. Works like a charm
