oh I did! 2 min after I talked to that guy at rip off range and guns. I transfered it else where.
And their mark up price they told you was BS too. If they only mark up a little bit then how do people online make money? They are greedy. Thats it. They are rude most of the time anyway, but I always overlooked that due to the fact they DO have a good selection of items. Now, ill pass.
Just a thought though... what were you already thinking? Just wondering? Am I out of line here? You make it seem like I did something wrong.

I like Autreys myself .........but have an FFL holding friend that does my transfers free ..... so I dont have to use Autreys for that anyway..
Never had a problem with Autreys and they always give me free range time on any weapon purchased and I can go there and rent guns Im thinkin of buying
I purchased a Glock there a month or so ago and they were $499 for the 17,19,23,32 in gen3 ...... they gave me range time and a free target and said ''HAVE FUN AND DONT FORGET YOUR HEARING AND EYE PROTECTION'' .... plus they have stuff I cant get anywhere else round here !

I usually dont pay anything for transfer fees...If anything i run an errand for the guy that owns the place.

see there ya go! If they can afford to give away range time then they could not be hurting that bad.
to me what they charge for the transfer isn't the debate. sure some charge more than others, some may not charge anything...
the bigger issue was the price quote for a service and then they changed their tune on the next call/visit. maybe they didn't explain it right or the full details were not known (I have always just asked what a shop charges for a transfer, it's always been a set fee AFAIK, if they have different rates they should be up front about that).
so yes, they didn't do the right thing and honor the original quote, unless it was given in error (i.e. he was told about the new vs used gun fees or something) but it sounds like they just didn't own up to the mistake.
as for their prices, most of the ranges I"ve stopped by (particularly the new ones around town) their prices always seem way out of line, but I usually am looking for specific stuff and they don't normally have much of what I am looking for...

Hey, Ed's in Stockbridge charges $20, and it has always gone really smooth. Twenty dollars seems like a fair price to me.
Back in the day you went to "Bargain Barn"...which is a false statement if I ever heard one, or you went to Adventure Outdoors with 4000 customers and 2 salesmen. I've ditched both places and I use Lakeside Guns in Acworth now. At least they smile and say thank you when you drop a wad of money in their store.
It does... 20 is cool even 30-35 is cool. You gotta make some bucks I understand that. BUT 50. Thats crazy. All for a transfer that takes 3 min of your time.
What makes me mad is ive dropped a TON of money in there and this is how you treat your customers? By lieing and extorting them? No. Too many other nice people who could use the money.
