I used a 16" 308 BA barrel building an Aero M5, I have liked it. The Nitride finish is a big plus over most 308 barrels that are just phosphate.

Ballistic Advantage barrels

I have 3 performance series barrels, 2 in 300BO and an 18" in 5.56. Great barrels, accurate and well made. GTG.

I bought a BA 16" govt taper barrel for my SPR ish.
I took it to the range to zero and it wouldn't shoot better than 3" groups at a ranged 100 yards. I tried with it and without suppressor, changed flash hiders, and still 3"+. I called them and they had me send it back at their cost, they notified me that they had none of that profile in stock, but would have a run without a couple weeks, and that I'd get the first one and they would test it in house before sending it out. I was only out some time.
Got it about three weeks later and took it back and it was doing under 1" for 5 shots with a 6.5x scope. A couple groups were close to 1/2" (three or four touching.)
This was all with handloads using Nosler 77gr. OTM at 2770fps. I told them this up front and that had no issues with it being used with reloads, so it tells me that they have some common sense.

Not exactly. Aero Precision barrels are Ballistic Advantage. Aero bought BA in preparation for the release of the Aero rifle series.
I run a BA 12.5" 5.56/.223 barrel in my sbr. I've ran their 16" barrels in other builds. Great barrels!

Well, if you don't manage to find one... I'd be inclined to take that one off the upper for $140 shipped... or trade for a 14.5
