Agreed. Plus seeing how different conferences 'match up' early is interesting. The SEC and ACC obviously meet often, I like when the west coasters step up for a spanking. In the first 2 games over the last ten years LSU has played Va Tech, (nobody in 2008), Washington, UNC, Oregon, Washington, TCU, Wisconsin, (Syracuse was later in the season in 2015) and Wisconsin again. Though there's no way to know when the games are scheduled, several were ranked at the time (including then #3 Oregon) and LSU won every one except the last one against Wisconsin (which they certainly deserved to lose).
They open against BYU tomorrow. That would certainly qualify as one of their weaker early non conf opponents but who knows. Mormons are sneaky. They act all nice and stuff...
