I do believe so. The M95 rifles are getting scarce. After I let my last one go, I swore if I ever ran across another one it would be a keeper. Being a Bulgarian contract with bayonet kinda seals it.
Well I said I was keeping it, but something even better has popped up that I can't live without. I will be posting this one today.
Eh, it wasn't such a big deal after all...I'm slowly coming to my senses on the M95, lol.
Very well done my friend.Ran across a great find today, this 100th anniversary of the end of the Great War. It is a literal barn find (found in a barn in NC)..a Bulgarian contract Steyr M95 rifle made in 1903. So a probable veteran of the Balkan Wars of 1912-13, then first and second world wars. I would assume this is a WW2 bring back, as it is marked 'S', meaning rechambering to 8x56r. I'm posting pics of it 'as found' as it is currently apart and soaking in cleaner. Actually had to shoot a bit of oil on the bayo to get it off, not to mention running a rod through the bore to get out the mess the dirt daubers left.
Really happy with this find!
