Wife wants to remove a pedestal sink and install a single sink vanity in the bathroom. Going from this:

to something like this:

I can operate a light switch and a weed eater flawlessly. Anything more complicated gets tricky. Can I do this myself or do I need to call a semi-pro?

In a related story: pedestal sink for sale.

Notice on the new cabinet that it backs up to the wall and there is no base trim. You will need some way to notch your base trim so the cabinet will sit flush against the wall.
Never thought about that, thanks. Is the old sink easy to remove from the wall? My son helped by leaning on it and pulling the caulk/paint off already. That was the genesis of this whole idea.

Yes... Just shut off the water cut off on the lines, take the supplies line out; find the screw or bolt that is holding, if any...
