Do you have tools? Like an oscilating tool, basin wrench, etc?

If you install the faucet set before mounting it on the wooden vanity why do you need a basin wrench? Install, drop the sink and secure and then run flexible lines up from the hot and cold supplies.

You can do it yourself, it just takes a couple youtube videos and you'll be good to go. Plus side of doing it yourself, you get new tools and still save money over hiring someone to do it (usually).

To remove the existing pedestal. I’ve seen them attached to the wall in many ways. There are Lots of other tools one MAY need but I won’t go into all the possibilities.

YouTube is your friend nowadays. And yes, an oscillating tool will help trim out the floor base trim so the cabinet sits flat against the wall, providing how the legs of the cabinet are set up.

I am a total chooch when it comes to things like this, but I did the exact same thing you are attempting to do in my old house in Gwinnett. It turned out fantastic. I have an oscillating tool if you need to borrow one.
