Well, decided to bite the bullet and go ahead with this project. Someone cut down an otherwise nice Beaumont Vitali M71/88 some time ago, why not make it into a 'carbine'? So I'm going to be splicing a busted up Martini Henry forend to it, because that's what one does, right?
Keep in mind, this is my first ever attempt at

doing something like this...I've repaired duffle cuts before, but this is going to require a bit of shaping. Hey, I'm an artist, this shouldn't be too hard.......

Their cool old guns and I do own ammo if you want to shoot and it won't cost you a dime...you will have to make it dahlonega but it will be worth it...... Beaumont ammo makes that 223 look like A 17HMR

Looking good. I have two of them. I make brass from 50-90 sharps and several different dies, 8mm lebel, 45-70 and 45 Long Colt. A lot of work but well worth the fun of bringing these old rifles back to life.
