A couple of weeks ago I noticed a large black and white dog on my security cameras. The dog was still in my yard the next day. I tried to pet him but he seemed to be afraid of me. I put out water and food for him and was able to touch him. I scanned him for an RFID chip but none was present. I contacted the Pickens County Animal Control but they were at full capacity and not accepting any more. For the next week he stayed in my yard only leaving twice to chase a coyote. He got along great with our 4 small dogs and 3 outdoor cats. He followed me like a shadow and was very affectionate and obedient. He was exactly the dog I have always wanted. I am 78 years old and facing open heart surgery and wanted to keep him but with 4 other rescue dogs it wouldn’t be fair. My wife and I hated to give him up but I turned him over to Pickens County Animal Control. He will be available for adoption next Monday. If you want a beautiful blue eyed Australian Shepherd he would be ideal. I would love to find him a good home.
