Also, if someone just wants to build one rifle, and doesn’t have a friend with the proper tools, you’ll spend waaaaaay more in the tools than any money you saved by building it yourself.

Hahaha right just the gas system and have the port sized properly alone is a lot.

I love my JP-7 as well. I did find mine used and got a great discount off retail from a student of cmshoot. Thanks cmshoot ! Very hard to find but they are out there. It's the waiting several years and not being to negotiate much that's a bummer.

The best AR10 is an FAL. There...I said it.

I built my own with Shilen barrel. It shot 1/4 MOA so easy it was boring to shoot.

I loves FALs, and still think they’re the best battle rifle.

I’m a fan of the M14/M1A platform, as well……mostly for nostalgia sake.

Neither one is as good as the AR10 when it comes to solidly mounting a scope to the receiver.
