Best areas to move to in North or East GA?

I'm wondering if there will be privately owned land in 2 generations or if any would be worth owning. The tax to keep it is going to be more than its worth.

I am very familiar with Columbia and McDuffie counties. Land in Columbia County has gotten too expensive. They have good schools. Land in McDuffie County is not as expensive. They don’t have good schools. Augusta is a medical hub, which makes the CSRA more attractive as people age. Driving from those areas to Statesboro, you pass through many rural areas with reasonably priced land. I would not mind living in a rural area near enough to Statesboro that I could drive in when needed. Probably because of Georgia Southern, they have all the stuff I would want.

I would check county by county property taxes, and even then remember they aren't permanent. I would look at northern Alabama in the Huntsville, Gadsden area too
Huntsville is growing like a weed... just took over the 'biggest city' title from Birmingham. You won't find anything much around there under $300K unless it's a tear-down.
