I had narrowed it down to the Camp Chef Everest 2X or the Coleman Triton Plus. I ended up going with the Colman based on cost.

If truck camping and using your vehicle as part of your base camp, I have a Blackstone 17” griddle with a large propane canister I bring and use twice a day. It is awesome!

I’d certainly recommend it for those who truck camp.

I've had two burner Coleman stove for 20 years. It's still in Tip Top condition until 3 years ago used to use it all the time. I never had a problem with it running out on a tank of gas. And I believe you can get fuel lines that run from a big tank up to the inlet.

The best backpacking stove I remember back in the 1970s was the Gerry Mini Stove. Coleman used to sell small propane bottles to fit the needle on the stove but since Gerry went out of business, that stopped.

If you're camping from the truck, go Blackstone. That's what the girlfriend uses and it can't be beat. There are tradeoffs but you don't need the extra pans to tote around either.

I like rocks and sticks pan sits on rocks cast iron. let the sticks burn some shove hot coals under pan. love this way if too hot move the pan for a min
